Large Travatine Charger
1970’s large travertine charger. Circular, dished form with a small lipped edge & extremely thin profile, giving it a beautiful translucency.
Travertine is a natural stone & variety of limestone, formed by evaporation of spring waters. The holes within the stone are caused by carbon dioxide evasion. Mostly used in buildings & furniture this is a very unusual piece & extremely difficult to make.
Excellent original condition.
